Fall in Florida and the struggle is real! You’ve got your pumpkin spice lattes, you’ve hung your fall wreath on the door and made your pumpkin muffins. Oh, and all the gorgeous fall fashion is out. The jackets, the scarfs, the sweaters, the boots…Oh, how we can’t wait to wear boots! Yet the temperature still says summer. It’s hot!
So what are we Florida girls to do? Well, there’s a few ways you can incorporate fall fashion into your wardrobe without overheating. My favorite way is to incorporate the season’s colors and patterns but in lighter fabrics. This plaid shirt below is a great example. It’s fully “on trend” but the fabric is light and breathable. You can wear it with jeans, shorts, your denim wrap skirt or a nice work skirt. And when the temps do drop (and eventually they will) it will look great under a jacket or cardigan.

You can also incorporate a skirt in a fall style and color. You can wear it now with sneakers or heels and then switch to boots and a jackets when it cools down. This suede skirt in a fall green color works now and later.
